Zen ride

We just tripped over these pics, from the
collection of Robert Pirsig. He was author of the seminal
philosophical tome Zen and the
Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Above are
Pirsig and son Chris on a 1968 motorcycle trip, on a Honda CB77,
that formed the thread of the book.
It was published in 1974 – here is the
first edition.
Friends of Pirsig, John and Syliva
Sutherland, accompanied Robert and Chris for a few days on
their BMW R60.
