Seventies Scrambler by Guy 'Guido' Allen, Nov 12, 2021 One we'd love to have in the shed, but it's already packed past the rafters. This 1972 Honda CL450 Scrambler looks like an attractive prospect at Au$7500 (US$5500, GB£4100), through Just Bikes. That's a little higher than we've typically seen them sell for, however the current market is buoyant. The seller warns it isn't concours, but it would appear to be in good useable condition. The 450 vertical twin was Honda's performance engine before the mighty CB750-Four was launched in 1968, and first saw service in the CB450 'Black Bomber' (above) from 1965. In this form, the twin claimed 43 horses (32kW) for a 188kg dry weight and a five-speed transmission. They were sold from 1968 through to 1974, though the numbers don't seem to be huge.
